Well, I knew that having a baby would take up quite a bit of time, but apparently I forgot altogether that I even had this blog lol.
The last two years have been a blast with Addie! She is now just over 2 years old and smart as a whip. (Too smart for her own good sometimes!) She loves to be involved in everything we do, from doing dishes with Nana, to cooking with Mommy, to helping Daddy with his homework (mainly by stealing his seat if he gets up). This Christmas season is so much fun already with Addie understanding it a bit more this year than her first two Christmases. For example, our tree has multiple light settings and she definitely prefers the colored lights. She will request "bwu lighs" (blue lights) if it is on the white light setting and has learned how to change it herself. We are also introducing her to the wonders of Hallmark Christmas movies! Now that we live in North Carolina, we are more than excited to have an actual winter and attend tree lightings and see some snow this season!
On that note...did you catch that we moved to NC? Yeah, about that....many of you have asked us why and of course that is understandable, especially since it was a surprise to many of you! Well, it was just time for a new family adventure, so here we are! Don't feel left out - we really did not tell many people about the change because there were so many moving parts and details to be sorted out. There was simply no time to worry about telling anyone about our plan. Besides, our "plan" kind of emerged fairly quickly and we had to act fast lol. We certainly miss our friends in Florida and can't wait to be able to have visitors here in NC! I am sure we will make it down there sometime for a visit too!
